So I had the clutch on my car go out recently, definitely not a pleasant experience. I called around to several different places for quotes and it turned out it was going to cost a lot more than I originally thought. Joel (the owner) was the only one who took the time to explain to me that it would be significantly more if the flywheel was damaged and that he wouldn't know until everything was taken apart. Every other shop I talked to just quoted me a flat price (but of course after I had it in I'm sure they would have called and told me 'Oh you need a new flywheel, that'll be an extra $400.') Joel was upfront and transparent from the get go, which is why I decided to take it to him. I definitely made the right decision. While the repair certainly wasn't cheap, the new clutch feels great and he helped me out with a really good rate on the labor. Just talking with him you can tell he's an honest guy and very knowledgeable about what he does. I will definitely be taking my car back here, whether it's just for an oil change or another major repair.

Joel is a great guy... Brought in my RAV 4, and I originally thought the transmission needed work given that two different garages stated that the transmission required replacement (approximately $3,000). Joel examined the car and recommended that ONLY the spark plugs and the coils needed replacement. Saved a ton of money, and the car works like new... Will definitely bring all my cars here for servicing! Joel is very honest...

Carcanix is a true honest mechanic. Joel explains everything clearly and breaks down the cost of parts and labor so you know you're getting a fair price. It is so refreshing to be able to trust your mechanic.
